Tai Chi Beginners Class

Thursday 12.30pm-1.30pm and 7.30pm-8.30pm

At the Methodist Church Hall, Brewer Street, Maidstone in upstairs hall .

£10.00 per class

This class is more a mixed ability class, but at beginners level, so it would be possible to join in and catch up. Just pop in when you can as it is an on-going class and initially you can pay on a weekly basis.

The class consists of gentle warm up exercises, followed by practice of the slow and graceful Tai-Chi movements – the form. The slow movements help to slow down a busy mind. It helps with balance, posture, breathing, restful sleep and helps with many other conditions.

Please feel free to phone Michael if you would like to know more.

The Civil Service Retirement Fellowship

The CSRF, a registered charity, was formed in 1968 to provide social welfare assistance to retired civil servants, their widows/widowers and dependants (known as beneficiaries).

The Maidstone Group meets in the Methodist Church Hall at 2.00 pm on the second Monday of each month (except August).  Twenty or more members gather together for various activities – talks, quizzes, raffles, games – with a break for tea or coffee and biscuits, or once a year a cream tea.

The Group can now accept Associate Members who have not been civil servants.  Anyone interested in joining, or coming along to sample the sociable atmosphere, should contact the CSRF Group Secretary, Keith Hunter, on 01622 746 792.
